1956 ~ 2011 William Eric Boren, beloved son of William R. and Norma Jean Nuttall Boren died 14, November 2011. Born 2 December 1956 in Salt Lake City. An Eagle Scout, he graduated from BYU and served a mission to Thailand. Employed by Associated Foods. Loving father to Erika Longfellow (Ammon), Leif, Kalen, and Ella Boren. Bill was a happy warrior. Resisting the effects of muscular dystrophy, he never gave in to his challenges. Early this year he volunteered at the University of Utah Hospital to the implanting of an LVAD, a heart assist device to increase his quality of life. This device and the staff at the University Hospital served him well. Bill loved people. Each person he met became a friend and fellow traveler. He cherished living in beautiful Liberty, Utah. He cherished the loving kindness of friends in Liberty and his fellow workers at Associated Foods. He is cheered onward by his siblings: Becky (David) Burbidge, Clark (Denise) Boren, Mark (Shelley) Boren, David (Cynthia) Boren, Todd (Leslie) Boren, Betsy (Steve) Willerth, Jeanne (Aaron) Hall and Jason (Angie) Boren.
Services will be held Friday, 18, November at 11 a.m. in the Arlington Hills Ward, 1300 Fairfax Road. (335 North 1340 East, SLC.) Thursday 17, November, there will be an evening viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary (260 East South Temple Street) and again Friday, 18. From 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Arlington Hills Ward. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the University Hospital.
